For being considered a reference in sustainable production, Jalles Machado was invited by the Federation of Industries of the State of Goiás (Fieg) to participate in the 25th edition of the Environment Week, held by the institution at SESI Aruanã/GO, between June 23 and 26.

The event had the participation of Fieg’s president, Sandro Mabel, its vice-president, Flávio Rassi, and 16 presidents of industrial unions affiliated to Fieg, which represent the most diverse productive segments in the state of Goiás. 

On the occasion, the CEO of Jalles Machado, Otávio Lage de Siqueira Filho, presented the sustainability practices of the company, such as the production of renewable energy from sugarcane bagasse and straw, biological pest control, participation in the Renovabio program, native seedling nursery and reforestation, water resource management, crop rotation, fertigation, organic production, etc.

This edition of the Environment Week, whose theme related the equation Industry & Sustainability & You & Life, highlighted the importance of the responsible use of environmental resources, presenting strategies and guidelines for good practices and sustainable production. The goal was to raise discussions and reflections regarding the participation not only of industries in Goias, but of each participant, in the preservation and improvement of the quality of life allied to sustainable development.
