Program annually recognizes entrepreneurs who stand out for their leadership style, business success, and their contribution to society

The CEO of Jalles Machado, Otávio Lage de Siqueira Filho, is one of those honored by EY, a world leader in auditing and consulting services, in the Entrepreneur of the Year Brazil Program, in the Master Category. The program annually recognizes entrepreneurs who stand out for their leadership style, their success in business, and their contribution to society.

The event, which marks the 24th edition of the Program, will take place next Wednesday (02/16), with live broadcasting on the Internet, starting at 6:30 PM, in partnership with the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo. The ceremony will announce the honorees in all categories. In the Master category, in which Otávio Lage de Siqueira Filho is one of the honorees, an honoree will be announced to represent Brazil in the global stage of the Program, which will bring together representatives from each country, in Monaco. Registration to follow the event online is free and can be done through the site ey.com.br/eoybrasil.

“I am very happy with this homage from EY, a highly regarded and respected company worldwide. This recognition is due to the work that we performed in Jalles Machado, in these 41 years, since the company’s foundation, facing challenges and achieving results and achievements in a sector that has a lot of government interference. The IPO in the stock exchange was a consequence of this work, in which we always try to contribute with the environment, with the people and with the society. I share it with all the board of directors, shareholders and employees of Jalles, who help us build the successful history of the Company on a daily basis,” says Otávio Lage de Siqueira Filho.

Present in Brazil since 1998, the Entrepreneur of the Year program completes 36 years globally, supporting and recognizing business leaders who have contributed to the development of the business ecosystem, with positive impacts for society as a whole.

“In recent years, we have been able to see a significant evolution among the entrepreneurs enrolled in the program, not only in terms of gender, but also in relation to the different types of businesses, which are increasingly innovative and have a very strong focus on social and environmental impacts. And it is important to remember that people today want to do business with diverse and ethical companies that have a purpose and are conducted based on very solid values,” says EY Private partner and leader of the Entrepreneur of the Year and Winning Women Brazil programs, Raquel Teixeira.
