With a partnership with outsourced workers, the La Terre brand took us into a new type of business. Emerging as a line of organic products, it counts three flavors of 100% Arabica coffee capsules, light sugar, and chocolate powder.

This allowed us to reunite our organic products and market them to those looking for organic certified items. We also took advantage of our agro-industrial structure and expertise to add to our experience.

<p>We are pioneers in energy cogeneration in the state of Goias. We produce clean and renewable energy from sugarcane bagasse and straw. With our two sites, we manage to produce enough energy to supply a city of 300,000 inhabitants.</p>
<p>With the sale of 65% of Codora Energia, integrated into the Otávio Lage Site to the French company Albioma Participações do Brasil, we enabled several improvements in energy efficiency, with the use of sugarcane straw to generate energy even in the off-season.</p>

Our line of sanitizing products was designed with the aim of adding value to the ethanol produced and is mainly divided between household cleaning products and professional use, such as hospital disinfectant. With the pandemic, we increased the production of items such as rubbing alcohol, antiseptic gel, and hydrated ethyl alcohol. 

Among our main sanitizing products, we have alcohol liquid, which can be used for both home and hospital purposes. The home cleaning products market is the most diversified, expanding by 3.6% from 2014 to 2019.

To understand what yeast is, we must think about the alcoholic fermentation that transforms cane sugar into ethanol, since it is the microorganism responsible for this process. The surplus of this alcoholic production is sent to our Yeast Factory.

With dry yeast, the result of yeast extract, we supplement animal feed formulations, as they are high protein. The Inactive dry yeast is sold in Brazil, while the Hydrolyzed and Autolyzed types are exported.

Etanol

During the production of ethanol, according to its formula, we can divide it into two: anhydrous ethanol, which has greater added value and can be mixed with gasoline, and hydrous ethanol used in flex-fuel technology engines or powered by ethanol. Being a cleaner and more natural renewable fuel is among the main advantages of ethanol.

One of the biggest differences between gasoline and ethanol is that each fossil energy unit generates 9.3 units of renewable energy. With ethanol, we supply mainly the local market, which takes 70% of the a product made, while the remaining 30% goes to the North and Northeast of the country.

Our sugar production process is made from sugarcane and is monitored by qualified and trained professionals. In compliance with international quality standards, we produce two types of sugar: white and organic. The white sugar is sold in Brazil in packages of 1kg, 2kg and 5kg, mainly in the Northeast, Midwest, and North states. 

The organic sugar is exported to over 20 countries and produced with sugarcane grown under the strictest organic concepts. This production system excludes the use of fertilizers, pesticides, and growth regulator products. Fertilization is natural and based on the use of animal manure, crop rotation, green manuring, composting and biological pest control. The principle of organic production is respect for the environment, ensuring greater protection of natural resources.

Sold in packages of 1kg, 2kg and 5kg, mainly to the Northeast, Midwest, and North regions.

Domestic market

VHP (Very High Polarization) crystal sugar, with higher added value. Exported in 50kg packages to countries such as the United States, Canada, and Russia, among others.
